The Laboratory of Electromechanical Energy Conversion (L.EM.E.C.) was founded in Patras University in 1974 and is fully functional since 1975. Its main objective is focused but not limited to the education and research of the following scientific areas:
- Electrical Machines
- Power Electronics
- Motor Drive Systems
- Electromechanical Energy conversion
