Epameinondas Mitronikas received the Dipl.-Eng. degree in electrical and computer engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Patras, Greece, in 1995 and 2002, respectively.
He is teaching Electrical Machines, Electric Motor Drive Systems, Advanced Control of Electrical machines, Small Electric Motors.
He has been supervised seventy (70) several Diploma theses, he is the supervisor of four (4) PhD theses and he has been a member of the advisory committee of more than six (7) PhD theses.
He has participated in twelve (12) research programs, in three of which he was the supervisor and holds one (1) Patent.
His research interests include analysis, modeling and construction of Electric drive Systems, Electrical Machines, Power Electronic Converters, Small Power Electric Motors, Field Oriented Control of AC Machines, propulsion systems for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, Digital Control strategies for Electric Drives, Electrical Machines and Drives Fault Diagnosis. He is the author or co-author of more than 97 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings, while his published work has been referred by more than 1200 papers. Dr. Mitronikas is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Greek Union of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
